Children's Animal Painting Workshop

Each student will produce an A3 painting of an animal, which they can take home. Students will be shown an example of artists work to inspire them and then they will work directly from photographs, preferably of their own pets. The students will feel like ‘proper' artists learning how to mix colours (using red, yellow and blue) and see tone (darkness and lightness). They will also learn some basic painting techniques like blending colours and using a palette knife. This workshop is preferably for children between the age of 7 - 14 years.

Each student will produce an A3 self portrait painting, which they can take home. Students will be shown an example of artists work to inspire them and then they will work directly from photographs of themselves. The students will feel like ‘proper' artists learning how to mix colours (using red, yellow and blue) and see tone (darkness and lightness). They will also learn some basic painting techniques like blending colours and using a palette knife. This workshop is preferably for children between the age of 9-15 years.
